About Stepping Stones Music

 

Taney Hirst established Stepping Stones Music in 2008 to provide excellent music education for all ages and abilities. Taney is a professionally trained musician and a qualified primary teacher with many years experience teaching instrumental lessons and in primary schools.

 

Having chosen not to return to full-time teaching after the birth of her son she now tutors privately, all Primary subjects and music up to degree level, alongside teaching brass, recorder, piano and music theory lessons at your home or her studio. Click here for more information.

Stepping Stones Music is also very proud to present Kindermusik classes in community venues throughout Derbyshire and in several nurseries. All classes are taught by a fully trained and licensed educator.

Stepping stone -

Kindermusik is a great stepping stone to learning an instrument. The curricula as it stands now culminates in the ability to play an instrument with confidence and pleasure. Most Kindermusik students go on to learn an instrument. Stepping Stones Music provides lessons for all brass instruments, piano and recorder. As students progress there is an opportunity to study music theory as well.
